TASTING NOTES
Torrente 2023 is a declaration of intensity — a wine that roars with fruit, energy and structure. Born from nature’s boldest impulse and dominated by Sousão, this is a Vintage Port of tremendous concentration and clarity. On the nose, it bursts with dark forest fruits — black cherries, mulberries, and wild blueberries — wrapped in notes of crushed violets, cacao nibs, and wet stone. The palate is immediately gripping: firm, muscular tannins frame the vibrant acidity, carrying the fruit with tension and length. Despite its power, it remains incredibly balanced — a harmonious interplay between richness and precision. This is a Port for those who seek character over classicism, expression over tradition.
