TASTING NOTES

The Van Zellers & Co 80 Years Very Very Old Tawny Port is deep amber in colour with greenish hues — the classic signature of great aged Tawnies. On the nose, it is sophisticated and layered, with notes of nutmeg, dried fig, candied orange peel, exotic wood, toffee, mocha, and subtle hints of fine acidity and aged tobacco. The palate presents a silky texture and vibrant acidity, revealing evolving layers of flavour. Highlights include caramelised nuts, spice, balsamic notes, and caramelised fruit. The finish is long, elegant, and unforgettable. Serve cool, around 12ºC Enjoy with créme brulée, walnut tart, aged cheeses or dried fruits.
